Nestled high on a hillside acre, our 5,000 square foot southwest territorial home adjoins miles of virgin desert with a horizon full of spectacular views of many mountain ranges. These include the Mazatzals to the north, the 7000 foot high Four Peaks to the east, and the Superstition Mountains to the south as well as close up views of the Sonoran desert with all the abundant wildlife. |
Quiet Suites with Spectacular Sonoran Desert Views
Beautiful interior decorating and exterior landscaping lend a tranquil feeling. Our home has been a long time dream and labor of love. I have designed and built custom homes in Fountain Hills for the past 18 years and we love our life here in Arizona. The name Bedlam was chosen when I opened our B&B back in the 80's, intending to warn our guests about our four young girls and the pandemonium they caused. The girls are grown and off on their own but the name remains. |

Everyone is welcome to relax on our large main level patio. Our spa is wonderful for star gazing or sun bathing and can be heated upon request
We have always loved antiques, collectables and heirlooms, so we wanted a
home that was casual and warm, with a lived-in antique shop flare.
Among the heirlooms you will find lamps made from an Electrolux vacuum, an old boot and a
even a coffeepot. Everywhere you look you'll discover knickknacks with an interesting
story to tell. In the living room there is a bubbling plant-skirted fountain with a
trumpet horn for a spout.
The wood that was used for our doors and cabinets was purchased from a building salvage yard in Phoenix. Hours upon hours of pulling nails, sanding, cutting and finishing brought out a delightful, warm feeling to each room in our home.
The dining area is beautifully decorated with family heirloom antiques dating back to the late 1800's. Many of these pieces were rescued from basements of buildings in Minneapolis. Breakfast is served daily at 8:00 a.m. (or another time if preferred). Special dietary requirements can be accommodated. |

A fun part of staying at Bedlam is joining us for a family style breakfast. Breakfast
is usually served at 8 a.m. in our dining room. Other times for breakfast can be
accommodated depending on your schedule.
Stories, laughter and engaging conversation abound as a full breakfast of homemade quiche
or scrambled eggs with warm muffins or coffee cake, plus a fresh fruit plate, coffee and
juice is served.
All rooms are complete with TV and small refrigerators and coffee pots just in case you like coffee or juice first thing in the morning. Or, relax on our large main level porch.
