Perched on a hillside overlooking Smuggler's Cove and the blue of the Pacific, the Brewery Gulch Inn features distinctive Craftsman architecture utilizing 150-year-old virgin redwood timbers, eco-salvaged from Big River.

Ocean views, fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs for two, private decks, Arts and Crafts decor, comfortable, well-appointed rooms, LCD flat screen TVs with cable and
DVD, iHome clock radios and telephones with complimentary local and domestic
long distance service.

This light-filled, first floor corner room has windows overlooking the inn’s verdant meadows to the east,
trees to the south and Smuggler’s Cove and the Pacific to the west. A covered deck just outside of the French doors provides a sheltered retreat to read and take in the view. Cappuccino walls with sand dollar trim set the
backdrop for this restful retreat.

The Lookout

A panoramic, sweeping view of Smuggler's Cove welcomes you to these two top-of-the-inn aeries, each
located up a private stairway on the third floor. Walls of sea grass and white accents surround you as you stretch out on your king feather bed, or send postcards to jealous friends from your writing desk. The bedding in
each of these rooms can be reconfigured into twin feather beds. If you are traveling with other friends or family members, these loft rooms have a connecting door between them.

A full gourmet breakfast is served in the common Great Room  where you can also enjoy afternoon wine hour with hors d'oeuvres. Our  chef  prepares exceptional dishes using organic ingredients.

Housemade pastries, artisan coffee in a proprietary Brewery Gulch blend, organic eggs, “millionaire’s bacon”, fresh-squeezed juices, whipped Valrhona hot chocolate flavored with pure vanilla bean…breakfast at the inn is a culinary experience not to be missed. A wide variety of selections from the seasonally-changing, cooked-to-order breakfast menu are available and guests may choose to dine either by our signature fireplace in the Great Room, or en suite.

Things to do on the North Coast include visiting the historic village of Mendocino, hiking, biking, canoing up Big River, kayaking, horseback riding on the beach, exploring state parks, art galleries, live theatre, museums, fishing, beachcombing, berry picking, wild mushroom foraging, and fine dining.
