Carriage Way, voted
"One of the Three Best Bed and Breakfasts in Florida"
Florida Monthly - June 2001
|Carriage Way Bed & Breakfast is
located in the heart of the historic district amid unique and charming shops, museums, and
historic sites. Castillo de San Marcos, St. George Street, fine restaurants, carriage
tours, and the waterfront are 1-4 short blocks away. Any location in the historic district
is only a 5-10 minute leisurely walk.
A vernacular structure with Victorian features, Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast was built between 1883 and 1885 by Edward and Rosalie Masters. All rooms are named after prior owners of the house. During the 1940's, the house was converted into an apartment building and fell into disrepair. In 1984 the structure was extensively restored to its original grandeur, fulfilling a dream of creating Carriage Way.
We want your stay at our St. Augustine inn to be surprisingly memorable, and we have gone to great lengths to make sure that our accommodations exceed your expectations. From artfully decorated guest rooms to delicious breakfasts, we want you to feel welcome at your home away from home.
