Located on the temperate northeastern coast of the Island of Hawaii, Waipio Wayside Bed and Breakfast Inn's location is ideal for the Hawaii visitor. The Inn is located just ten minutes from Kamuela, set on the road to famous Waipio Valley, about halfway between Kona and Hilo Airports, and Volcano's National Park, home of the world's only "drive-in" volcano.
This historic 1932 sugar plantation superintendent's residence is set in a tropical garden of fruit and nut trees, and brilliant-flowering, sweet-smelling shrubs. Extensive decks offer panoramic views of the Hamakua Coast of the Island of Hawaii with hammocks and chairs to lounge in.
The Wayside has been lovingly restored, and furnished throughout with charming antiques. Each of the five bedrooms carries a different theme. All our bedrooms have tropical flower arrangements, ceiling fans and good reading lights.
All have a private bath - each stocked with fluffy towels, bath salts, herbal oils and bubble bath in the Plantation or Chinese bedrooms, so you can enjoy a relaxing soak.
In the evening, relax in our comfortable sitting room, browse our extensive Hawaiiana library, or watch TV or a movie from our video library. Also we offer wifi internet connection And organic food for beakfast.
Your friendly, knowledgeable hostess is happy to talk story and give excellent travel advice, and we are noted for our generous breakfasts. We love to cook and our menu changes daily so you will never be bored. We serve as much fresh, local, organic food as we can, and can cater to dietary restrictions, given notice.

What some of our guests are saying...
This was one of the nicest stays anywhere I've ever been. Everything was comfortable and just the right amount of plush. The room is just beautiful. Thank you most of all for your warmth, hospitality, and travel advice.
