sign sporting this name hung outside for over 70 years until the previous owners renamed
the property "Christine's Inn". The Inn's main
building was constructed between 1780 and 1840 and guests enjoy the country cottage
ambience of the guest lounge, complete with a wood burning stove, and the country cottage
dining room which is a great place for breakfast watching the many beautiful birds that
grace the extensive gardens
Much of its original character is intact such as: the wide pine floors, open beam
ceilings and the Rumford fireplace in the main house. The Rumford Room,
which is the oldest room in the house, is open for Holiday Specials with dinner
The newer Carriage House for guests is decorated with many comforts of
colonial times. In each guest room there are queen size high posters and canopy beds,
paintings and handmade quilts.
All the guest suites
have an inviting terrace, some of which overlook Tom Ball Mountain. The guest rooms are
tastefully decorated with handmade quilts, paintings and antiques.
All rooms have private baths, a color
t.v., hairdryer, high poster queen, queen canopies, and some guest suites have fireplaces.
