Brook Farm Inn
Located just down the hill and around
the bend from
Lenox Center, Brook Farm Inn welcomes you to the
grace of its Victorian past and the comfort of the present.
Lovingly furnished, this 130-year-old home, now a Bed and Breakfast Inn, offers its guests comfort and tranquility in a completely smoke-free environment, surrounded by the beauty of the Berkshires and a tradition of poetry and literature.
There is poetry at the very heart of Brook Farm Inn. Discover our Library, the focal point of the Inn, with its extensive collection of poetry, both traditional and contemporary, along with other fine literature...and a good selection of popular books as well. We showcase a poem of the day each morning, and we encourage our guests to browse our collection and find a book to sit and read in front of the Library fireplace, in your room, in the gardens outside, in the hammock or beside the pool.
The rooms at our Lenox bed and breakfast in the Berkshires of Massachusetts are all unique and beautifully appointed.
Decorated with antiques, each room has its own small touches that make it special. All guest rooms have private bath and air conditioning, as well as ceiling fans, telephones, hair dryers, and luxurious bathroom amenities. Many have additional features such as fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, tv and dvd players, and canopy beds. Free wi-fi access is available.
Breakfast at The Brook Farm Inn
Start your day of fine Berkshires dining with our sumptuous buffet breakfast, starting at 8:30 and ending at 10:00.
You’ll wake to the aroma of one of Angela or John’s legendary dishes … perhaps apple baked French toast, sundried tomato strata, or vegetable frittata. The hot entrée, which changes daily, is typically accompanied by home baked muffins, coffee cakes, and fresh breads, along with cereals, yogurt, and a fresh fruit platter.
Our signature service ensures you will enjoy the best Berkshires breakfast experience. The innkeepers will be on hand to refill your coffee cup and suggest interesting ideas for your day in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Our buffet always includes options for vegetarian guests. We do our best to accommodate special dietary needs.
In the winter season we serve a continental breakfast Monday thru Friday mornings.
Have Afternoon Tea at the Inn
Come back to us for afternoon tea Friday and Saturday at 4:00, served in the spacious library. Sit in front of the fireplace with a cup of freshly brewed tea, and indulge in delicious home baked scones.
You’ll be refreshed and ready for your evening out at a concert, theater performance, or one of the area’s fine restaurants.
A short leisurely walk from our inn will find you in historic Lenox village where "in the streets are old trees used to living with people." Shop in fine boutiques, find antique treasures or dine in splended restaurants.
The Lenox area has much to offer. "For beauty being the best of all we know," visit Edith Wharton's home, The Mount, Chesterwood, and the Norman Rockwell Museum.
Come and Celebrate the Seasons With Us
Lenox is an all season area: the color and woodsmoke of autumn, the sparkle of winter lights on glistening snow, with excellent skiing nearby, and spring hiking over mountain paths. In summer, "when evening is spread against the sky," hear the Boston Symphony at Tanglewood, see dance at Jacob's Pillow, enjoy an outdoor Shakespearean play, or a musical comedy at the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Your comfort at Brook Farm Inn and your enjoyment of the Lenox area are of the utmost importance to us.
