into luxury and hospitality of an era past.
The 1840s Carrollton Inn is a series of interconnected rowhomes, some dating back to the early 19th century, surrounding a central courtyard adjacent to the1840s Plaza. This luxurious inn presents a much needed alternative to hotel accommodations; the suites boast historic quality antiques and decorator furnishings. The first 13 of 24 anticipated luxury bed and breakfast rooms and suites are available for reservations!
Choose from extravagant historic suites dating from the 1790s and luxury rooms with double whirlpool tubs and marble fireplaces. All guest accommodations are tastefully-appointed with antiques and artwork and include a gourmet breakfast served fireside at individual tables in the elegant first-floor dining room. |

tranquility of the charming garden courtyard or
a night out on the town.
The gated courtyard gardens on the lower level create a promenade between the Fava Building and the Carroll Mansion. Designed to give a hint of the past, they include boxwood, flowers of the Carroll period, and a herb garden. Underneath the brick, where Charles Carroll of Carrollton’s stable was sited, is a hypocaust. This, perhaps, was used to keep the water warm for the horses in the cold winters. The upper courtyard with its tall flowering trees and boxwood is enclosed by the 1840s Carrollton Inn.

The 1840s Ballroom is available for parties, receptions,meetings, and conferences. Incredible 8-foot tall windows offer sweeping panoramic views of the inner harbor and surrounding area, providing a stunning backdrop for any occasion.
Elegant chandeliers, luxurious velvet draperies and a classic English Pub bar enrich the Ballroom. The 1840s Ballroom, conveniently located on the fourth floor of the Fava Building, formerly known as the Baltimore City Life Museum just off of President Street in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
