The village of Snow Hill, incorporated in 1686, is a picturebook of architectural treasures. A walking tour on old brick sidewalks takes you down picturesque streets past more than one hundred homes that have passed the century mark.
Chincoteague, Assateague, Ocean City, and Crisfield
with its boat to Smith and Tangier Island are all only
about 30 minutes away. Canoes or boats can be rented one block from the Inn to take you
exploring on the Wild and Scenic Pocomoke. If you’re not a boater,
take a river cruise on The Otter, our pontoon boat.
The Chesapeake Bay is only a short distance by boat or car - perfect for sailing and motor cruising. Bikes are available and Nassawango Country Club, one of eight in the area, will welcome you for golf.
The River House Inn has 4 guest
buildings in a lovely rambling setting on over two acres
of rolling lawn that lead down
to the River. It provides modern amenities along with the charm of fireplaces in spacious
rooms, plus plenty of porches to relax on. All rooms have air
conditioning, queen-sized beds and private baths. A full breakfast is included in the
price of your room, and complementary beverages are served. You may tie up at our
waterfront at no charge while your are a guest.
Biking Inn to Inn on the Eastern Shore
Savor the beauty of the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia. The mild climate, fresh sea air and gentle slopes make biking an excellent way to enjoy the best of the wild beauty and historic vistas of the Delmarva peninsula. Only two or three hours from the hustle, bustle and pressures of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Philadelphia we offer you a gentle, peaceful world of waterviews, everchanging farmlands, National Register inns, historic villages, well tended centuries old estates and little traffic. Enjoy the bounty of our farms and waters: fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood.
Our routes are flat and daily ride distances are flexible to meet your
capabilities and sightseeing desires. Rides can vary from 15 to 45 miles per day or more.

River House in Snow Hill, Waterloo

Canoeing Inn to Inn on the Pocomoke River
Maryland's Eastern Shore Bald Cypress tidal river gently winds through
miles of beautiful woodland. Canoeing Inn to Inn is a unique way to experience one of
Delmarva's natural wonders.Days are spent paddling gently through an
ever-changing vista - from bowers of green overhanging the banks to broad sweeps and bends
typical of the rivers of the South - providing opportunities for viewing wildlife not seen
from the shore. Nights are easy on the body and mind, with fine inns providing Eastern
Shore hospitality and good food.
There are three and five day standard tours and custom flexibility. Trips
are available spring, summer
and fall. Guides are available for an additional fee. Tours start at $350 per day per
couple. Extra days $150 per person double occupancy Guides available for $100/day The
price includes meals, beverages, canoes, transportation and accommodations. There are no
extras.
