The Atwood House is an 1894 Neoclassical Georgian Revival mansion located two blocks from Nebraska's capitol.
This unique 7,500-plus square foot home is decorated throughout with Victorian antiques.
You will "experience the elegance" of a three-room suite. The Atwood Suite is Lincoln's most elegant bridal suite. Each of the other suites also has a 19th century three-piece bedroom set and private sitting area for a comfortable place to relax.
Each private bath has monogrammed
towels, fluffy robes
and all of the amenities.
Enjoy breakfast, prepared in our award winning kitchen. This exquisite fare is served on bone china with sterling silver, WaterfordŽ crystal and linens in the formal dining room, the sun room or in the privacy of your suite.
Close to downtown Lincoln, the Lied Center, Pershing Auditorium, the Historic Haymarket district, the Univeristy of Nebraska, some of Lincoln's most elegant dining, and the Capitol.
Weddings at the Atwood House
The Atwood House hosts afternoon weddings (conducted between 2 and 4:30 p.m.) for up to 40 guests at a cost of $300 plus sales tax. Weddings before 2 p.m. or after 4:30 p.m. are $375 plus sales tax and contracting party must also reserve all four suites (Atwood, Carriage House, Beals and Frank W. Little Suites) at the current rate.
Included in the charges are: use of the first floor for the gathering and wedding, up to forty (40) mahogany chairs, two (2) seven candle brass candelabra (candles not included), tables for guest book, unity candles and flowers. For afternoon wedding, two suites will be available as changing rooms
