A Guest Home For Lodging

Twin Gables is over 100 years old; however, it began life as a guest house and tea room in 1926 when Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Daiber purchased the building naming it as well.

Being an artist, Mrs. Daiber had been attracted to the Art Colony in Woodstock as many have and still are. Some of her paintings now decorate the large, double bedroom downstairs.

Your hosts Frederic and Cindy Vercauteren invite you to Woodstock, New York, "Colony of the Arts". We enjoy introducing our guests to Woodstock's world renown art, music, literature, natural beauty, history and charm.

Twin Gables is the oldest guest house in Woodstock, New York.

The architecture and furnishings create an ambiance that revives the relaxed, easy living of that time. Over 50 years of quality service and hospitality in our immaculate, basic amenities home has gained us a respected reputation for comfortable, affordable accommodations.

Twin Gables' charming and beautifully appointed guestrooms provide an idyllic respite for visitors exploring the myriad attractions of Woodstock, the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains. Whether travelers are visiting for business or for pleasure, they’ll find our reasonably priced accommodations to be havens of tranquility and comfort, harkening back to another place in time -- but certainly not at the expense of modern amenities. In juxtaposition to the Victoriana guesthouse atmosphere, a rotating art collection in public areas and rooms adds a decidedly modern and stylish ambiance to the entire property, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to the artists.

For the convenience of our guests, Twin Gables is completely WiFi accessible for guests who travel with their computers. To maintain the peace & tranquility that Twin Gables is known for, there are no televisions or radios in the guest rooms.

There are fifteen rooms at Twin Gables. The nine guest bedrooms give affordable country accommodation, with modern conveniences and safety measures.

Bedrooms are decorated with period furnishings, original works by Woodstock artists, bed and reading lighting, and hand crocheted rugs.
