Twin Gables is over 100 years old; however, it
began life as a guest house and tea room in 1926 when Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Daiber purchased
the building naming it as well.
Being an artist, Mrs. Daiber had been attracted to the Art Colony in Woodstock
as many have and still are. Some of her paintings now decorate the large, double bedroom

Twin Gables is the
oldest guest house in Woodstock, New York.
The architecture and furnishings create an ambiance that revives the
relaxed, easy living of that time. Over 50 years of quality service and hospitality in our
immaculate, basic amenities home has gained us a respected reputation for comfortable,
Twin Gables' charming and beautifully appointed guestrooms provide an idyllic respite for visitors exploring the myriad attractions of Woodstock, the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains. Whether travelers are visiting for business or for pleasure, they’ll find our reasonably priced accommodations to be havens of tranquility and comfort, harkening back to another place in time -- but certainly not at the expense of modern amenities. In juxtaposition to the Victoriana guesthouse atmosphere, a rotating art collection in public areas and rooms adds a decidedly modern and stylish ambiance to the entire property, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to the artists.
For the convenience of our guests, Twin Gables is completely WiFi accessible for guests who travel with their computers. To maintain the peace & tranquility that Twin Gables is known for, there are no televisions or radios in the guest rooms.

Twin Gables. The nine guest bedrooms give affordable country accommodation, with modern
conveniences and safety measures.

- Rates and Payments
All rates are priced on a per-room basis. Full payment is required upon check-in, whether guests pay with credit cards or cash. Payment will be charged in full when booking online, at time of booking. If reservation is made by phone, payment will be charged in full 3-5 days before arrival. We accept Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa and American Express. Sorry - no personal checks. Twin Gables reserves the right to change rates without written notice but will honor rates provided at the time of booking.
Twin Gables charge a $15 service fee for all cancellations. Guests canceling their reservations within one week prior to arrival date will also be charged a one-night room rate if we are unable to re-rent the room. All applicable cancellation fees will be charged to credit cards provided at the time of the booking.
Check-in is 2pm to 10pm Sunday-Thursday, 2pm to 11pm on Friday & Saturday. Travelers
arriving earlier than 2 p.m. can leave their luggage at Twin Gables before checking in
later in the day. Late check-ins can be arranged in advance upon request for guests
arriving after 7p.m.
We allow well-behaved children 12 and older. Kids under 16 are required to share a room with an adult. Our guests stay at Twin Gables primarily for the collegial yet tranquil environment it provides. Although visitors mingle and chat frequently in the parlor - that's an essential element of the Twin Gables experience - we strive to ensure that their stay is restful and restorative.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets of any kind
- Smoking is not allowed inside Twin Gables. Guests can smoke outside in the front garden and back yard, where they will find cigarette receptacles.

Our village has a worldwide reputation for its art, music,
literature and a festival or two. Many well-known people in these fields reside in and
make appearances in the area. Most weekends, especially in summer, there are special
events going on in one of more of these fields.
