This intimate inn has a European flair and an unpretentious air. Robyn and Wolfgang Wendt's casual approach and warm welcome make you feel instantly at ease. They have over 20 years in the lodging and restaurant industry. With their love of travel and taste for adventure they find themselves far away from their families in New Zealand and Germany. They love to surround themselves with intriguing people and to share their Craftsman home and also tales of their adventures.

This intimate inn has a European flair and an unpretentious air. In keeping with the Arts and Crafts Movement aesthetic of this Swiss Chalet-style bungalow the simplicity and uncluttered theme is refreshing. The interior rooms have been decorated with mission oak furnishings  mica lamps and art glass lanterns and objects from nature complement the ambiance. The ocean breezes waft in through the six-over-one windows with the original rippled glass that provide the room with ample light, air and views of the Atlantic ocean.

Breakfast always begins with fresh juice-orange, cranberry, apple. Different every day. A fruit dish is served most days. Perhaps a banana split or a granola parfait with fresh berries. Always something innovative. We alternate the cooked breakfast between sweet one day then savory the next. You might expect "Eggs Oscar", a benedict-style preparation with crabmeat and white asparagus. Or perhaps "French Toast". Wolfgang bakes his own brioche with a cinnamon swirl and covers it with fresh berries. The peppered bacon is to die for. During the day the tables are overlaid with long table runners stenciled with period block designs that sets off a collection of art pottery.

Dinner packages are available exclusively for our inn guests and all we need is a few days advanced notice of your selections from our evolving menu. New Zealand lamb or venison, Black Angus Filet, Veal Chop or Fresh, local seafood and shellfish. Or, request Wolfgang prepare one of his German favorites.  Sauerbraten, Weinerschnitzel, Fleish Rouladen to name a few. Bring a bottle of wine to enjoy. We are happy to serve it.
