1900 Inn on Montford
Bed and Breakfast
Asheville, North Carolina
Intimate and Romantic The 1900 Inn on Montford invites you to be our guest and discover bed and breakfast comfort and hospitality with a warmth and graciousness that is reminiscent of Biltmores Gilded Age.
The Inn was designed in 1900 by Richard Sharp Smith, Supervising Architect for Biltmore House. Today it is elegantly furnished with English and American antiques dating from 1670 to 1910. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and located in the Montford Historic District.
The Inn has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored to create the inviting ambience of past splendor and elegance. We welcome you to indulge your every romantic inclination. Solitude awaits in the privacy of one of our four elegant second-floor guestrooms where you can lounge by your fire, relax in your whirlpool or snuggle in your magnificent antique half-tester bed.
Or choose Zeldas Retreat, our secluded five-room suite, offering the ultimate in luxury. The entire 3rd floor 1,000 sq. ft. is yours!
Relax by the fireplace or watch TV in the sitting room with a "wet bar", microwave and refrigerator.
The Fitzgerald is a charming 18' by 20' room. The bed is an Imperial Queen-size mahogany English Victorian half-tester with rounded footboard circa 1840.
Each guestroom has a refrigerator for your convenience. And, if you need to remain connected to the outside world, there is a multi-line telephone with a data port and a LAN connection for high speed Internet access available in every guestroom.
We serve a delicious three-course breakfast at 9 a.m. preceded by the arrival of coffee or tea to your room at 8.
Our breakfast consists of a fruit course, savory egg course and dessert course. For example, you might have a yogurt, strawberry, banana parfait topped with kiwi fruit as your fruit course, shirred eggs American style, and for dessert homemade caramel rolls. With advance notice, we are happy to accommodate all dietary restrictions.
