Greetings! As you travel down historic Route 66, stop and stay a while at the Rosebud Cottage in Sayre, Oklahoma.

The owner, Vikki Fowler has been serving the southwest Oklahoma community since spring 2006, and she would like to invite you to be her guest at her quaint “shabby chic” cottage.

A comfortable little cottage-style house with all the amenities of your home, complete with one bedroom with queen-size bed, one full bathroom with shower, living area with TV, and kitchen, complete with refrigerator and microwave.

Welcome to Sayre, Oklahoma

You will find in Sayre, Oklahoma the Historic Courthouse featured in the movie "The Grapes of Wrath" and the Spirit of the West still evident by cowboys cinched up for a day on the range.  The signs of  Old Route 66 will guide  you through Main Street and there you will witness historic buildings from 1901 to the 1940's being refurbished by enthusiastic building owners that have an understanding of  the Oklahoma Main Street Program and who support the preservation of Oklahoma History.  Not far to the east of Sayre an ancient "Buffalo Kill Site" has been discovered and the ruins of spear heads and buffalo bones are part of an archeological dig by the University of Oklahoma.  This important piece of history is being offered to the public for viewing by the Whinery Flying W Guest Ranch where trail rides and wagon rides can transport you back in time.

Rosebud Cottage is just off of Route 66 and was the first train station in Sayre, Oklahoma

Directions:

If you are traveling East on HWY I-40 from Amarillo, TX
On Hwy I-40 take Exit 25 and drive West on Bus I-40 approx. 3 miles to JCT 283.
Turn Left on Hwy 283 / 4th Street and drive South approx. 2.5 miles.
Turn Left on East Pine Street, and Turn Right into first alley for parking.

If you are traveling West on HWY I-40 from Oklahoma City, OK
On Hwy I-40 take Exit 20 and drive North on Hwy 283 / 4th Street approx. 4 miles to East Pine Street. 
Turn Left on East Pine Street, and Turn Right into first alley for parking
