The Pheasant Field Bed and Breakfast is an historic brick farmhouse and stone barn built in the early 1800s. Located just two miles east of Carlisle, and six miles west of Mechanicsburg in beautiful south central Pennsylvania farm country. |
Our front porch is complete with rockers and a front porch swing. This is the best place to relax while you watch the "lightning bugs" or fireflies in the summer. In the evenings, the bull frogs, geese, and birds will sing their songs for your enjoyment.
The family room area, once the "Summer Kitchen", was used as a stop on the Underground Railroad. We provide lots of information on area attractions, as well as offering movies for the VCR/DVD, area restaurant menus, and maps of walking/hiking routes.
We invite you to enjoy our gardens, stroll around the island, and walk our labyrinth. As you sit on a garden bench, you might catch sight of a bird perched on a sunflower or see a monarch butterfly larva. It is said that "Life began in a garden" -- Here at Pheasant Field we want you to feel relaxed and rejuvenated from the serenity of our quiet spaces.
There are eight guestrooms, all with private bath. All of our rooms have a phone, clock radio, and cable TV. Most have an answering machine. There are homey common areas including a family room with TV, VCR and board game area, a living room for quiet conversations or reading and a dining room. |

Wake-up to the aroma of coffee and fresh-baked muffins. Your morning will start with a hearty, country breakfast served in the dining room. Breakfast is served at your convenience from 6:00 to 10:30 a.m. most mornings.
The brick patio at the back of the house is the perfect place to enjoy a summer breakfast. You have a veiw of the stone barn and may catch a glimpse of the Baltimore Oriole which has nested in one of our trees for the past several years.

Weddings and Special Events at Pheasant Field B&B
Pheasant Field is the perfect site for a
storybook wedding. The arbors at the patio and perennial garden or the pergola on the
island become the focal point for your special vows. With tents added to the tennis court,
patio, or on the lawn near the pond, the party can continue through bright sun or
"liquid sunshine". Pheasant Field has hosted many
special occasions such as graduation parties, wedding showers, and birthday parties. We'll
be happy to make your event a special memory for you.
Pheasant Field is also a comfortable place for a small corporate seminar,
spiritual retreat, workshop, or meeting.
