Nestled in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania's downtown historic district, The Brickhouse Inn Bed & Breakfast offers the comforts of today's living in a style reminiscent of the turn of the century.

Built in 1898 for a local banker, the house retains original chestnut pocket doors and woodwork. Family heirlooms and selected antiques complete the warm atmosphere of a family home.

The Brickhouse Inn offers in-town convenience and is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, Civil War art galleries and The National Park Visitors Center. With our own private, off-street parking, the Inn is the perfect "headquarters" for your stay in Gettysburg.

Named for states represented in the battle at Gettysburg, the guest rooms at the Brickhouse Inn B&B were created with your comfort in mind. All rooms feature original wood floors and specially selected antiques and replicas. Queen-size beds are complemented by private bathrooms, ceiling fans, individually controlled window air-conditioners in summer and electric fires in winter. Every room has a TV set with satellite channels, and high-speed wireless Internet is available in some rooms and on the patios. Choose a room with a bay window and a view of town, or a two-room suite with private porch and original claw-foot tub.

The Inn consists of two historic buildings in the downtown historic area of Gettysburg - the premier bed and breakfast in Gettysburg, PA. The 1898 three-story Victorian mansion has original wood floors, chestnut trim, family heirlooms and antiques, all in a style reminiscent of the turn of the century. The c.1830 Welty House was occupied by Confederate sharpshooters during the Battle of Gettysburg and has many bullet scars on its south wall.

Policies
  • RESERVATIONS
    A reservation is not completed until a confirmation email or letter has been sent by the Inn.
    Online reservations can be made through our website ("Availability & Reservations") but must be confirmed by us.
    Online published rates are for the current calendar year only.
    A two-night minimum stay is required for weekends from March 15l through November and other 'special' weekends.
    A four-night minimum is required for the Re-enactment Weekend in July (this may be extended in 2013).
  • DEPOSIT
    We require a 100% deposit for a one-night stay or a 50% deposit for multiple nights. The deposit is taken at the time of the reservation, and is refundable, subject to the cancellation policies (below).
  • CANCELLATIONS
    WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE TO REDUCE ANY FINANCIAL LOSS YOU MIGHT INCUR IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, SUCH AS ILLNESS, A FAMILY EMERGENY, CAR PROBLEMS OR WEATHER.
    A $25 processing charge will be applied to all cancellations.
    With 14 days or less notice, non-arrival, or early departure, the guest will be liable for the entire booking as confirmed, unless the room can be rebooked by another guest.
  • CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
    Check-in time is from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
    Guests arriving before 3:30 p.m. are welcome to park at the Inn, subject to available space.
    No check-ins can be made after 7 p.m. without prior arrangement.
    Check-out is by 11 a.m. Guests checking out late will be liable to pay an additional charge.
  • SMOKING & CANDLES
    Smoking and lighted candles are not permitted inside the buildings, or on the porches and balconies.
    Smoking is permitted only on the rear brick patios and in the garden.
    Guests who do not respect these regulations will be charged for an additional night's stay.
  • CHILDREN
    Well-behaved children of 10 years and older, and accompanied by an adult at all times, are welcome, in rooms that can accommodate them.
  • PETS
    We regret that we cannot allow pets on the premises.

After a day of sight seeing spend time relaxing at the Inn before dinner. Enjoy lemonade and homemade cookies on the porch in the summer or wind down in one of our two parlors with spiced cider in the cooler months.
