The John Easton House was built in the 1800's and has been refurbished for a Bed and Breakfast Inn.
The John Easton House is a proud member of the National Register of Historical Places.
This stately home, circa l826, provides all its guests with off-street parking, is just a short walk from Easton's beach (First Beach), Newport's scenic harbor, wonderful restaurants and the world acclaimed "summer cottages" of the Gilded Age's extremely affluent known as The Mansions.
Located in a neighborhood of gracious Victorian homes and large shade trees, an atmosphere is created where the guests feel pampered, restful, and excited to explore the many sites of Newport. Whether you are snacking on the complimentary homemade brownies, sitting outside relaxing on the comfortable front lawn, or just chatting about the many wonderful things Newport has to offer, you will know you made the right choice by coming to The John Easton House.

Many have working fireplaces, as well as, king size beds which incorporate old-fashioned charm with modern day comfort.
At the John Easton House a generous three course breakfast, where everyone's appetites are taken into consideration. Some of Jan, the innkeeper's specialties include the mouthwatering To Die For French Toast; a delectable Blueberry Lasagne; and the delicious Breakfast Strata. Accompanying the gourmet breakfast, you'll find traditional freshly baked breads, scones, break pudding, muffins or fresh fruit.
Room rates are reasonably priced from $160 to $200. Between October 31 and May 1, prices are reduced and often include specials. The John Easton House features beautiful, completely redecorated rooms, all with private baths and some with a fireplace, perfect for a romantic stay or honeymoon.
Deposit and Cancellation Policy
Your reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of a deposit equal to the amount of your first night’s visit. A deposit of 50% of your visit is requested if you will be staying for 3 or more nights. This guarantees both the guest and The John Easton House the entire reservation period. We request that you cancel with a minimum of 14 days notice prior to your scheduled arrival date. A full refund of the deposit (minus $20 per room) will be returned to you upon cancellation. If a reservation is cancelled within 14 days of arrival, the deposit will be credited toward a future stay (good for one year) provided that the cancelled space is resold without loss to The John Easton House.
