Charleston, South Carolina

The Palmer Home Bed and Breakfast, also known as "the Pink Palace," is one of the fifty most famous homes in the historic city of Charleston.

The home was built in 1848 by John Ravenel, whose son designed the "Little David," the first semi-submersible vessel and the forerunner to the submarine.

The Palmer Home is operated by third generation owner, Ms. Francess Palmer. The house is furnished & decorated with antiques,   art & appointments dating back two hundred years or more. The Palmer Home first began operation as a premier Bed & Breakfast in 1977, the breakfast served here each morning is second to none..

Thanks to its excellent construction and 36-inch walls, The Palmer Home has withstood hurricanes, tornadoes, and even the first major earthquake in the history of the United States in 1896.
