Weddings and Special Occassions at The Westhill House
Perennial gardens surrounding the mid-size pond provide a colorful backdrop for weddings. The natural beauty of the wildflower meadow and the beaver pond creates a lovely setting for many couples' vows. In case of rain the ceremony may be held inside or on the covered deck as in this photo. It's not the weather that counts - it's love, family and friends. Inside in front of the handsome stone fireplace all atwinkle with candles, or in the flower bedecked gazebo, many couples have found "their special spot " for an intimate ceremony.
Sunflowers and gerber
daisies make the gazebo a spectacular
spot for a ceremony.
From time to time we're called by couples planning a "just the two of us" ceremony. We ask a JP to officiate, Inn guests become wedding guests, we bake a little cake, and we all love every minute of it! Some Civil Unions are quiet, informal, just for two, elopements.
Birthdays are always festive occasions at West Hill House, whether they are
celebrated informally by inn guests or as a "reserve the whole inn for the weekend
and have a big catered dinner" affair. We can do it! Sunday brunches for the day
after a party or a wedding can also be held at West Hill House. We can accommodate up to
about 80 for an open house style brunch on the deck in warm weather and about 35 inside
the rest of the time
Sunday brunches for the day after are also a specialty at West Hill House. We can accommodate up to about 80 for an open house style brunch on the deck in warm weather and about 35 inside the rest of the time.
Things to do
|Relaxing on the front porch in summertime, guests watch birds, chipmunks, tiny red squirrels, white-tailed deer and an occasional moose in an endlessly fascinating "critter show". Hiking, cycling, golf and shopping are favorite warm weather pursuits. Winter visitors ski at Sugarbush or Mad River Glen, snowshoe out the back door, enjoy sledding and other outdoor activities. Three fireplaces in the common areas are popular gathering spots for guests.|
Relax and unwind at this historic B&B that's off the beaten path, but still close to great dining, shopping and adventure!
