The Waitsfield Inn
The Waitsfield Inn
offers gracious lodging in an elegant 1825 parsonage
located in Vermont's beautiful Mad River Valley.
Revisit an age of comfort, tradition and warm hospitality as you experience our classic Vermont Country Inn. The Waitsfield Inn is centrally located on the Mad River Byway (Route 100) in Waitsfield, Vermont, just minutes from two major ski resorts - Sugarbush Resort (Lincoln Peak and Mt. Ellen) and Mad River Glen.
Our traditional Vermont bed and breakfast was built in 1825, and today its historic charms blend perfectly with modern comforts. Slumber in 1 of 12 guestrooms, each with a private bath. Relax in front of a crackling fire in our Great Room or curl up with a good book in our library. Indulge your sweet tooth in our nostalgic candy store (“Sentimental Sweets”) or enjoy your favorite beverage at our full service bar. For those of you who need to be “fully connected”, we offer complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the inn.

Discover Our Good Nature in your own back yard!
When you retire to your room at the end of a busy day you will be surrounded by the warmth of true Vermont country living. Each of our 12 rooms are individually and uniquely decorated with antique beds and beautifully dressed with your comfort in mind. Some rooms are hand stenciled; others have exposed beams, and 2 of the rooms have a loft. We invite you to take a tour through the rooms. All of the guest rooms are located on the 2nd floor of the Inn and are named after a former historic inhabitant of the Inn.
When you retire to your room - all named for former inhabitants of the 1800s - you'll be surrounded by the feel of country living. Our antique bedsteads are dressed with country quilts or light-as-a-feather comforters. Some rooms are hand stenciled, others have exposed beams and lofts.
For your convenience, all our rooms have private baths.
Our common rooms are intimate and inviting. Relax in front of a fire in our great room - once the barn - which was added to the parsonage in 1839. In the mornings, follow the scent of fresh brewed coffee to the dining room where a former state senator's family gathered for their daily meals. You can curl up with a good book in our intimate sitting room. A mug of spiced Vermont cider and fresh baked cookies complete the scene in the fall and winter.

In short, there is plenty to do in our valley
The Pub at The Waitsfield Inn has everything you need for a night cap, relaxing before dinner drink, or afternoon break. We proudly serve Vermont beers, all the usual suspects of Jack Daniels, Grey Goose, Makers Mark, and even a Vermont Organic Vodka. We also prepare our own steeped vodka in both pineapple and raspberry/ blueberry. Each vodka is steeped in the fruit for at least 3 months and then served shaken as a martini or served over ice. Our signature drink is the Minted Mai Tai. Fresh mint is simmered with fresh lime juice and almond syrup then strained and finally mixed with pineapple juice, orange juice, and rum. Vermont liquor laws prohibit guests from bringing their own alcohol into the Inn.
Our Restaurant: Looking for something new to try in the Mad River Valley. Dinner service is now being offered at The Waitsfield Inn on Friday and Saturday evenings, 5:45 to 8:00 pm. Dine on Italian cuisine any Friday evening or Mexican cuisine any Saturday.
