Room 1 - The New Room
TThe New Room is located in the front of the house (street side) and has a
queen size bed that sleeps 2 people. The room gets morning sun and has a front view of Mt.

The Sun and Moon room is as blue as the skies of Provence in southern France.
This bright and cheery room has a celestial theme. Located in the front of the house, the
room gets amazing morning sun. |

Garden room is bright and sunny and is decorated in a relaxing theme. This room is in
the back of the main house, overlooking our gardens and the water. Watch the sun set over
the water in front of the fire. |

Ripley Suite is our most luxurious room & was the original master suite. The room
is decorated in formal red and has its own sitting room with fireplace. This room
overlooks the gardens and water. |

The Cottage
|
This is a snazzy
little house with unique round steamship windows just right for two nights or two weeks. |
It has a large bedroom with queen bed plus roomy bathroom
with tub and shower. The living room with instant warmth gas log fireplace is furnished
with a new queen sized sleeper sofa with upgraded hotel mattress. The kitchen is fully
equipped for self-catering and there is a dining table seating four. It is available with
or without the Inn breakfast and rates vary with number of persons and services desired.
Our cozy pub is an
intimate place to enjoy a glass of beer, wine or champagne.
Our extensive wine and beer collection includes over 30 varieties from around the world.
Wine is available by the glass or bottle and may be enjoyed in the house or in our gardens
overlooking the water. |

A sitting room with fireplace affords your own quiet living space to read, check your
email, or finish that novel you have been working on. In the bedroom, an oversized queen
sleigh bed is furnished with silky linens and has the best view in the house through
original windows with remarkable pewter fittings.

A full gourmet
breakfast is served each day, made from many fresh local Vermont ingredients and served
with local Mocha Joe's coffee on the patio in warm weather or in our sun filled
conservatory which doubles as our breakfast room.
The grounds are classically landscaped with rare, stately specimen trees,
shrubs, and perennials. They highlight our fountains and provide the perfect setting for
quiet contemplation.
Our Policies |
- All rates are double occupancy, per night and are subject to change without notice. A
major credit card is required to secure your stay - you may pay with an alternate payment
method at checkout. We accept cash, traveler's checks, and most major credit cards.
- Check In / Out
Check in is from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after
7:00pm. Check out is at 11:00am.
- Minimum Stay
Minimum stay requirements vary, but a two night minimum stay is occasionally required on
weekends as well as on holidays, during special events and during all of foliage season.
Please feel free to call to inquire about your specific travel requests as we can often
accommodate other scenarios.
- Cancellations
Because of our small size, cancellations and no shows affect us significantly. For this
reason cancellations must be made ten days prior to the date of arrival to avoid
forfeiture of your deposit. All cancellations are subject to a $12 bank imposed credit
card charge.
- No Shows
If a guest does not arrive and honor their reservation, or contact us to cancel, they will
be charged for the full amount of the stay.
Children
- Our Bed and Breakfast is not appropriate for young children; many of our guests are
looking for a quiet getaway. Well-behaved children over the age of twelve are welcome in
our home, however we do not provide a special children's menu at breakfast.
- Pets
We are sorry to say that we can no longer accept pets at the inn.
- Parking
Parking is limited to guests only as we have only one parking space per room. Please let
us know in advance if you will need parking for more than one vehicle.
- Smoking
We are a completely non-smoking home. Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Ash trays are
available for your use outside. Please be courteous to others, smoking away from the house
or open windows and please pick up after yourself. If evidence of smoking is found in your
room, cleaning charges of $300 will billed to your credit card.
- Breakfast
We serve a fixed 2 course gourmet breakfast every morning between 8 and 9:30 a.m. For our
business travelers on Monday - Thursday with notice, we can prepare breakfast as early as
7 a.m. if needed. We are happy to prepare our delicious breakfast for those not staying at
our inn. We require advance notice and charge $15 per breakfast.
Rates
- Our rates are based on double occupancy (single occupancy for business rates) and are
subject to a 9% Vermont Meals and Rooms Tax and 1% Brattleboro Local Tax (not included).
The charge for an extra person is $25 per night and includes breakfast.
