The Lazy Cloud Lodge Bed & Breakfast building has a great deal of a history behind it. It was built in the early 1920's as polo
lodge for the Uilhlein Family. They owned the Chicago Branch of Schlitz Brewery
Company. The Uihlein's had about 88 acres in the Lake Geneva area at the time. Some of the rooms were stables for the horses, some of them stored
grain. In fact, the Hayloft Suite was actually a hayloft in itself.
The lodge is a "Cape Cod" style building. In fact, the first
time you see it from the road it will appear small from the front, but the Uihlein's built
it to face the polo fields and not the road itself.
Lake Geneva Wisconsin was named one of the "10 great places for that All American honeymoon" by USAToday's Travel Guide.
Lake Geneva is located in southeastern Wisconsin only 90 minutes from Chicago, Illinois and 60 minutes from Madison, WI, Milwaukee, WI and Rockford, IL. Lazy Cloud Bed & Breakfast is not your typical Victorian bed and breakfast. Lazy Cloud was originally built in the 1920's as a stables for a polo lodge.
