Brook Farm Inn
Located just down the hill and around
the bend from
Lenox Center, Brook Farm Inn welcomes you to the
grace of its Victorian past and the comfort of the present.
This popular inn offers guests comfort and tranquility with en suite baths, free WiFi, and air conditioning in each of our 15 rooms. We are a completely smoke-free property surrounded by the beauty of the Berkshires.
There is poetry at the very heart of Brook Farm Inn because of ties to Emma Lazarus and her New Colossus poem. Former innkeepers collected extensive volumes of poetry, both traditional and contemporary, along with other fine literature...and a good selection of popular books as well. We encourage our guests to browse our collection and enjoy reading near the cozy Library fireplace, in room, in our lovely gardens where there are umbrella tables and a hammock or beside the pool in one of our zero-gravity lounge chairs.
Each room at our Lenox bed and breakfast in the Berkshires of Massachusetts are all unique and beautifully appointed.
With the comfort of our well-appointed Lenox Bed and Breakfast guest rooms, you can enjoy tranquility and privacy on your next trip to the Berkshires. At Brook Farm Inn, you will be transported to complete relaxation with the choice of our 15 unique guest rooms, each beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings and natural light.
Decorated with antiques, each room has its own small touches that make it special. All guest rooms have private bath and air conditioning, as well as ceiling fans, telephones, hair dryers, and luxurious bathroom amenities.
Many have additional features such as fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, televisions or are television-free.
Breakfast at The Brook Farm Inn
Start your day with our sumptuous breakfast buffet, served between 8:30 and 10:00. It’s always a healthy, ample meal with low sugar, good protein, and locally sourced ingredients from the Berkshires -- a center for organic farms and the beginning of the slow food movement.
You’ll wake to the aroma of coffee being ground for early risers. When breakfast begins, sample one of Angela or John’s legendary dishes … perhaps Spinach-Mushroom Baked Eggs or Almond Meal Buttermilk Pancakes. Or perhaps breakfast will be White Cheddar and Dijon baked eggs, a frittata, Scrambled Eggs with Boursin and Salmon, or Cinnamon Baked French Toast with local Maple syrup or fruit sauce. Sometimes we’ll make a treat we’ve learned from our trip to Greece or a German breakfast favorite.
Have Afternoon Tea at the Inn
Come back to us for afternoon tea on Fridays and Saturdays between 4 and 5 pm, served in the spacious library. Sit in front of the fireplace with a cup of freshly brewed tea, and indulge in delicious home baked scones.
A short leisurely walk from our inn will find you in historic Lenox village where "in the streets are old trees used to living with people." We’ll recommend shopping, dining, activities and cultural stops. The Lenox area has much to offer. "For beauty being the best of all we know," visit many historic house museums like, Edith Wharton's home, The Mount, Chesterwood, Naumkeag, and Ventfort Hall. TheNorman Rockwell Museum only 6 miles away.
Come and Celebrate the Seasons With Us
Lenox is an all season area: the color and woodsmoke of autumn, the sparkle of winter lights on glistening snow, with excellent skiing nearby, and spring hiking over mountain paths. In summer, "when evening is spread against the sky," hear the Boston Symphony at Tanglewood, see dance at Jacob's Pillow, enjoy an outdoor Shakespearean play, or a musical comedy at the Berkshire Theatre Festival.
Massage and Yoga
Enhance your stay with a relaxing massage. A team of over 12 licensed massage therapists offer massage (Swedish, couples, deep tissue, pre- & post-sports and pre- & post natal), reflexology, and acupressure. Please book your appointment at the check-in window or when you make a reservation, you'll be shown a selection of add-on items, such as massage services, after you make your room selection.
