Spirit West River
Headquarters For Your Western Adventure
Spirit West River Lodge is one of Wyoming's most unique Bed and Breakfasts.
Located just outside the small town of Riverside, this secluded get-away is nestled on a picturesque bend of the Encampment River, which runs through the North Platte River Valley of Carbon County. The valley is surrounded by two mountain ranges: the Sierra Madre Range and the Snowy Range. Both are included in Medicine Bow National Forest, which was established as a National treasure in 1902 by Theodore Roosevelt. Framed by majestic mountains, this captivating valley offers visitors a "little slice of heaven" . . . any time of year!
Throughout the lodge guests enjoy western memorabilia and antiques, along with original oil paintings and bronzes created by Innkeeper R.G. Finney, an internationally acclaimed western/wildlife artist. In the evening, full-screen movies (complete with surround sound) are available in the Great Room; while many guests simply enjoy warm conversation next to a crackling fire in the huge stone fireplace.
Four themed bedrooms compliment the western decor of the sprawling log lodge and remind visitors of what the "Wild West" used to be.
The main Lodge has four private bedroom/baths, each with two entrances, including an exterior door opening to a large deck, which overhangs the Encampment River
The main Lodge has two larger bedroom/baths with fully equipped kitchenettes and private outdoor grills overlooking the river
(All accommodations at Sprit West are restricted to children 12 years of age and older.
